Actor Janhvi Kapoor, who’s taking pictures for her upcoming film “Good Luck Jerry” in Punjab, grew to become the goal of the protesting farmers’ ire final week. A bunch of protesters agitating in opposition to the three contentious agriculture legal guidelines on Monday, disrupted the taking pictures and demanded the actor make a public assertion supporting the protesting farmers. They, nonetheless, cleared the situation after getting assurances from the crew.
Later, Ms Kapoor issued a press release on the social media web site, Instagram, supporting the farmers.
“That they had informed the crew and the director that Bollywood actors have neither mentioned something in assist of farmers’ protest nor made any remark. When the movie director assured them that Janhvi Kapoor would make a touch upon the protest then they went again. The shoot is happening,” a neighborhood police officer, Balwinder Singh, was quoted by information company ANI as saying.
The film is being produced by filmmaker Aanand L Rai. It’s being directed by Sidharth Sengupta, recognized for steering movies like “Raanjhanaa” and the “Tanu Weds Manu” sequence.
“Good Luck Jerry” additionally stars Deepak Dobriyal, Meeta Vashishth, Neeraj Sood and Sushant Singh.
