    The release date of Amitabh Bachchan’s Jhund is out. The film will hit the theatres on June 18. It is directed by Nagraj Manjule. Jhund was postponed due to the novel coronavirus but now, since the government has allowed 100 per cent occupancy in theatres, the makers are busy booking the best slots for their films to release in cinemas.


    Big B took to social media to announce Jhund’s new release date. He wrote, “Covid gave us many setbacks .. but it’s comeback time now ..!! WE’RE BACK IN THE THEATERS .. JHUND releasing 18th June 2021 in THEATERS !!”


    Earlier, makers of the film released its teaser. In the teaser, we hear Big B saying, “Jhund nahi kahiye sir, team kahiye, team.”


    Amitabh plays the role of Vijay Barse in the film. Vijay is the founder of Slum Soccer, an organisation which uplifts underprivileged children through football. The biographical sports drama was announced in February 2019. It was supposed to hit the theatres on May 8, 2020, but it was postponed due to the novel coronavirus.
