Chirag Pashwan, who declared himself the leader of the Lok Janshakti Party, set fire to state CM Nitish Kumar. He alleged that Nitish was anti-Dalit and was forced to resign in 2015 by former CM and Dalit leader Jitan Ram Manji. Nitish Kumar said that by splitting the Paswan faction, he was also trying to create divisions in his party. He has been making a series of attempts to split the LJP since February 2005. Chirag Pashwan said that he had made all the cunning attempts to keep his political pub afloat by forming a sub-group called the Maha Dalit in 2006 and isolating the Pashwan community and the Jatav community. He said it reflected his mind set. Chirag said that everyone knew how Nitish had treated the Dalits in his own party and that he was the ‘credit’ for overthrowing Jitan Ram Manji from power.
Chirag said that Nitish Kumar Bandara will be unveiled at a road show he will be hosting soon. Meanwhile, he is once again increasing his prominence in the party by saying that their Mahabharata war, if they are Pandavas, is a comment by his uncle Pashupati Kumar that the Pashupati-led rebel faction has not made a single statement or rebuttal. The response of Pashupati, who declared himself the LJP leader in the Lok Sabha, is not known.
