IFFI 2021 to pay tribute to Satyajit Ray

The 51st Worldwide Movie Pageant of India (IFFI) shall be celebrating the work of legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray by screening 5 of his classics. IFFI, which takes place in Goa from November 20-28 yearly, was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and can now be held from January 16 to January 24.

As a part of the tribute, the pageant will showcase Ray’s acclaimed “Pather Panchali”, the primary movie of his The Apu Trilogy, 1964 romantic drama “Charulata”, “Sonar Kella”, his 1977 Hindi directorial debut “Shatranj Ke Khilari” and “Ghare Baire” (1984).

“Saand Ki Aankh”, directed by Tushar Hiranandani and that includes Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar, would be the opening film for the Panorama part on the pageant.

A complete of 224 movies shall be screened underneath totally different sections on the 51st version, which shall be organised in a hybrid format within the wake of the coronavirus pandemic
