To this end, Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdul Aziz Kamilov met Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar at the Hyderabad House in Delhi on Thursday morning. Bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed during the meeting. Jaishankar said bilateral relations were discussed in the areas of development, defense, connectivity, trade and culture. He said the two countries also shared views on the situation in Afghanistan.

Jaishankar said he was happy to welcome Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdul Aziz Kamilov. Jaishankar said the two countries had also agreed to strengthen multilateral cooperation. Kamilov arrived in India on Wednesday for a two-day visit. Kamilov will leave for Tashkent on Thursday evening.

Earlier on December 11 last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks on virtual policy. A total of nine agreements were signed between the two countries in the fields of renewable energy, digital, cyber technology, community development projects, freight forwarding and communication. Also, India has agreed to provide a loan of $ 44.8 billion for development projects in Uzbekistan.
