In the meantime, Sudhakar mentioned stringent motion can be taken towards the house owners of the mines, who had saved the explosives illegally. He added that police investigations are on into the matter. 

Taking to Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi too has expressed grief over the incident. 

“Pained by the lack of lives on account of a mishap at Chikkaballapur in Karnataka. Condolences to the bereaved households. Praying that the injured get well rapidly,” the Prime Minister’s Workplace (PMO) wrote on Twitter.
