Samir Khan, son-in-law of Maharashtra Cupboard Minister and Nationalist Congress Get together (NCP) spokesperson Nawab Malik, was arrested on Wednesday hours after the Narcotics Management Bureau (NCB) summoned him for questioning in an alleged drug procurement case and recorded his assertion. Khan’s title got here up through the interrogation of peddler Karan Sajnani.

Based on sources from the federal company, there may be a web based transaction path between Sajnani and Khan of about Rs 20,000. “We need to confirm credentials of this transaction and, therefore, summoned him immediately,” an official stated on situation of anonymity. The company believes the transactions have been funds for medicine that have been allegedly procured by Khan.

Malik is the minister in-charge of minority affairs and talent growth in the Maha Vikas Aghadi authorities of Uddhav Thackeray.

On Tuesday, the co-owner of famed Mucchad Panwalla store, Ramkumar Tiwari, was arrested following Sajnani’s questioning. Tiwari was granted bail on Wednesday by a metropolis court docket after being paying a bail quantity of Rs 15,000.
