Maharashtra: Woman carries husband on shoulders to celebrate panchayat polls victory

A lady carried her husband throughout their village in Pune after he gained the gram panchayat elections.

So as to celebrate her husband’s victory within the panchayat elections, a lady carried her husband on her shoulders throughout their village. Overwhelmed with pleasure, the girl carried her husband on her shoulders after he defeated his shut rival.

The girl within the image above is Renuka Santosh Gurav. Her husband Santosh Gurav bagged 221 votes and defeated his shut rival with a distinction of 44 votes in Pune’s Palu village in Khed Tehsil.

Due to Covid restrictions, the district administration had imposed restrictions that not more than 5 folks needs to be allowed in the course of the victory celebrations. Adhering to the principles laid down by the federal government authorities, Renuka maintained the space from supporters and carried her husband on her shoulders throughout their village in Khed Taluka.

Her husband contested the gram panchayat election on Jakhmatta Devi Gramvikaas Panel which has bagged 6 out of seven seats, thereby getting an absolute majority. Jakhmatta Devi Gramvikaas Panel contested these elections underneath the management of Level Vikas Society Chairman Ramdas Sawant and Former Sarpanch Baban Sawant. Jakhmatta Devi Gramvikaas Panel defeated Jakhmatta Gramvikas Parivatan Panel.
