Saakini Daakini Telugu Movie Review: Saakini Daakini has been under development for quite some time. The film, featuring Regina and Nivetha Thomas, was released today. Let’s see how things go.

Saakini Daakini Telugu Movie Story

Shalini (Nivetha Thomas) and Damini (Regina) enrol at the police academy to become officers. During one of their holiday escapades, they come across a kidnapping incident and get immediately entangled in it.

Things are not going well for the girls, as a large mafia operating in the medical profession is responsible for the kidnappings. The main plot of the movie is how these low-level workers will deal with this terrible situation.

Saakini Daakini Telugu Movie Bonus Points

The movie is an actual remake of the Korean smash hit Midnight Runners, and it has been properly adapted for the Telugu audience.

The training-related humour included in the first half is pretty good and keeps the audience’s mood upbeat. Prudhvi’s contact with the girls seems to be positive.

Nivetha Thomas portrays a Telangana girl and does well in her speaking part. She has done well in the field of humour. In the early half, all of her encounters with Regina and their cat battles are handled beautifully.

Regina does a wonderful job with her stunts and plays her character well. In the film, the two heroines have a terrific relationship.

The climactic battle is well-designed and enhances the proceedings. It was nice to see veteran actor Bhanu Chandar in a major role for the first time in a long time.

Points deducted

Despite being set in a good setting, the picture lacks fundamental concentration. The police school sequences are good at first, but as the second half begins, the picture comes apart like a pack of cards.

In this clip, logic gets thrown into a loop. The girls solve an abduction mystery and inform their higher officers, but they do nothing and leave the matter to the girls. This seems to be completely absurd. Basic reasoning should have been followed in order to keep the second half exciting.

Kabir Singh’s villain is poor, and the thrills exhibited do not work. The second half has little gravity, and what should have been a nail-biting thriller is ruined by some terrible narration.

Saakini Daakini Telugu Movie Aspects of technology

The film’s production qualities are excellent in the first half but not so much in the second. The proceedings seem to have been hurried in the latter half.

The BGM is pretty excellent, but the speech is a little excessive. The editing was flawless, and the film’s length was kept under two hours. The camerawork was good.

In terms of the film’s director, Sudheer Varma, he has done a poor job. His disinterest is evident throughout the film. It’s no surprise he avoided the promotions.

He does a good job with the first half, but the second half has bad action sequences and dialogue that doesn’t make sense.

Saakini Daakini Telugu Movie Verdict

Overall, Saakini Daakini is a poor rendition of the Korean smash hit Midnight Runners. The picture has potential for drama, passion, and thrills, but it is tarnished by the ridiculous narration. Except for the humour and an exciting finish, this weekend’s release has little new to offer. Wait for it to be available on OTT.
