The 30-share BSE index ended 660.68 factors or 1.38 per cent greater at 48,544.06.

M&M was the highest gainer within the Sensex pack, rallying round 8 per cent, adopted by Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Maruti, Axis Financial institution, ONGC and HDFC Financial institution.
Alternatively, TCS, Dr Reddy’s, Tech Mahindra, Infosys and Nestle India have been among the many laggards.
