When Hanu Raghavapudi made his directorial debut in 2012 with the stunning film Andala Rakshasi, the public had very high expectations for him.

But when she reluctantly agrees to send a misplaced letter to India, she finds herself whisked back to 1964, when the beautiful love story of Lt.

Ram (played by Dulquer Salmaan) and Sita (played by Mrunal Thakur) is revealed. He did not have a parent to care for him; she is a lady who has a dark secret that she cannot share.

Hanu does an excellent job of demonstrating, as opposed to preaching, how in the end, it is only humanity that counts, regardless of what deity you worship to or what nation you belong to, and he does this by illustrating how this is the case.
Even though not all of the people serving in the armies on either side of the border believe this, Ram and Major Tariq (Sachin Khedekar) inadvertently set off a butterfly effect with their empathy that not only affects a large number of people’s lives but also makes those people’s lives better overall.
In addition to this, Sita and Ram do have a love story that draws you in and makes you want to support them in their endeavours.
